OUR STORY
It was the summer of 2004, two sun tanned mates were driving back to Adelaide after having been for a surf on the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia. The surfing session ended as per usual with a stop at the local bakery. As Grant 'Pucker' and Adam 'Zilldog' drove back to Adelaide, pie with sauce in hand and iced coffee nearby, next to them sat the trusty JVC tape camcorder, full of 8mm video tape with the latest memories captured from the recent surf session. With a gulp of iced coffee, they began to throw around a few names for Grant's "yet to be born" Video Production business. As the trusty blue Toyota Corolla was coasting past the dairy cows and towards the town of Mount Compass, Adam and Grant began thinking about how a compass provides direction and is one of the most important tools for navigation and visual representation. Then it was decided, with the sip of iced coffee, the beginning of Compass Digital Media.
Now with 20 years of online and broadcast production experience and having worked with a diverse range of major brands and TV networks, those humble beginnings of filming his mates riding the waves has allowed award winning Cinematographer Grant Puckridge, to bring his own passionate wave of experience and creativity to the world of Video Production.
